一、學(xué)科簡介 Introduction

上海交通大學(xué)工業(yè)工程專業(yè)最早可追溯于20世紀(jì)20年代（原工業(yè)管理）。1997年，上海交通大學(xué)工業(yè)工程與管理系成立，隸屬上海交通大學(xué)機(jī)械與動力工程學(xué)院。工業(yè)工程是一門在工程學(xué)、管理科學(xué)等基礎(chǔ)上形成和發(fā)展起來的交叉學(xué)科，旨在培養(yǎng)面向制造業(yè)和服務(wù)業(yè)的管理型人才以及數(shù)據(jù)分析處理、優(yōu)化決策等技術(shù)類人才。工業(yè)工程專業(yè)是教育部一類特色專業(yè)和綜合改革試點專業(yè)，工業(yè)工程學(xué)科隸屬于機(jī)械與動力工程學(xué)院機(jī)械工程國家一級重點學(xué)科，擁有工業(yè)工程二級學(xué)科博士和碩士學(xué)位授予權(quán)。

Industrial Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University was initiated in the 1920s. The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management （IE&M）was established in 1997. Industrial Engineering is an interdisciplinary subject developed on the basis of engineering and management sciences, to educate students with data processing and optimal decision making ability in the field of manufacturing and service. Industrial Engineering is a MOE Tier 1 major. And it is affiliated to mechanical engineering major at the national level key disciplines in the School of Mechanical Engineering.

主要研究方向包括：質(zhì)量與可靠性工程、生產(chǎn)與服務(wù)運作管理、物流與供應(yīng)鏈、產(chǎn)品工程等，近年來，大力發(fā)展智能制造、健康醫(yī)療、大數(shù)據(jù)分析等研究領(lǐng)域，形成了特色鮮明的學(xué)科特色, 工業(yè)工程建有多層次的研究機(jī)構(gòu)和實驗體系。獲得過國家科技進(jìn)步二等獎1項，上海市科技進(jìn)步一等獎1項，中國質(zhì)協(xié)質(zhì)量技術(shù)獎一等獎1項，以及其他省部級科技獎勵共4項。擁有一支國際化、高水平師資隊伍。現(xiàn)有教授7人，副教授10人，助理教授5人，客座等兼職教授12人。工業(yè)工程骨干課程實現(xiàn)全英文教學(xué)，并入選國家級教學(xué)團(tuán)隊，獲得多項國家級教學(xué)成果及上海市教學(xué)成果。

The research areas include quality and reliability engineering, production and service operations management, logistics and supply chain management, industrial big data and intelligent manufacturing，etc. There are various research centers and labs in the department. The IE&M department has been awarded some national level and Shanghai municipal level technology prizes as well as some national teaching achievements awards. We have an outstanding faculty group with international education background, which includes 7 full professors, 10 associate professors, 5 assistant professors, and 12 visiting professors. All main courses in Industrial Engineering are taught in English. IE&M department has several members in the national level teaching group.

20年來培養(yǎng)了本科生近千名、以及包括全國優(yōu)博、上海優(yōu)博等在內(nèi)的碩士以及博士優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)生近400人。畢業(yè)生廣泛就業(yè)于汽車、航空航天、信息技術(shù)等先進(jìn)制造業(yè)和戰(zhàn)略新興產(chǎn)業(yè)，以及金融、互聯(lián)網(wǎng)等服務(wù)領(lǐng)域，和政府機(jī)構(gòu)與高等教育機(jī)構(gòu)。工業(yè)工程建有多層次的研究機(jī)構(gòu)和實驗體系，與美國佐治亞理工大學(xué)、普渡大學(xué)、意大利米蘭理工大學(xué)等建立了密切的國際交流合作。專業(yè)緊密面向建設(shè)創(chuàng)新型國家的戰(zhàn)略需求，培養(yǎng)兼顧制造與服務(wù)業(yè)需求的國際化復(fù)合型工業(yè)工程人才，努力建設(shè)國際知名、國內(nèi)一流的工業(yè)工程學(xué)科。

We aim at equipping students with engineering abilities, management skills, and global vision. During the past 20 years, the department has fostered about one thousand undergraduate students, and 400 graduate students. After graduation, our students are mainly engaged in the field of advanced manufacturing and services industries and academic area. The department has established close relationships with international top universities, including Georgia Tech, Purdue University, Politecnico di Milano, etc. The Industrial Engineering major targets on the innovative strategy requirement of nation development. The department tries the best to develop an international well-known and national outstanding discipline in Industrial Engineering.

二、培養(yǎng)目標(biāo) Program Objective

圍繞學(xué)校研究生人才培養(yǎng)的總體目標(biāo)，培養(yǎng)數(shù)理基礎(chǔ)知識優(yōu)秀、知識結(jié)構(gòu)寬廣，專業(yè)領(lǐng)域知識精通，創(chuàng)新能力強(qiáng)、具備社會責(zé)任感、具有國際視野和國際競爭力的工業(yè)工程前沿領(lǐng)域?qū)I(yè)人才，能勝任獨立擔(dān)任工業(yè)工程技術(shù)和管理工作的能力。

We focus on the postgraduate training objective of our university. We will provide you with the excellent mathematical foundation, broad knowledge structure, high proficiency in a professional field, strong innovation ability, good sense of social responsibility, and global vision and competitiveness in the frontier of Industrial Engineering. You will be given the grounding you need to engage in industrial engineering technology and management independently.

學(xué)生畢業(yè)時應(yīng)達(dá)到：

1、具有優(yōu)秀的數(shù)理基礎(chǔ)理論知識，深入的工業(yè)工程相關(guān)方向基礎(chǔ)知識，熟悉學(xué)科的進(jìn)展、動向和最新發(fā)展前沿；

2、掌握解決工程問題的現(xiàn)代研究方法與實驗技術(shù)，具有應(yīng)用理論和方法對相關(guān)專業(yè)方向工程與管理問題的理解和分析的能力；

3、具有較強(qiáng)的創(chuàng)新意識，在本學(xué)科某一方向取得實踐性研究成果；

4、至少精通一門外國語，能熟練地閱讀本專業(yè)外文資料，具有較強(qiáng)的寫作能力和國際學(xué)術(shù)交流的能力；

5、具備優(yōu)秀的工程實踐能力、良好的職業(yè)道德和社會責(zé)任感。

Upon graduation, you will:

1. Have the excellent mathematical foundation, in-depth fundamental knowledge in industrial engineering and related areas, and be familiar with the progress, trends and latest development of the discipline;

2. Master the modern research methods and experimental techniques to solve engineering problems, and have the ability to apply theories and approaches to understand and analyze technical engineering and management problems in related professional directions;

3. Have a strong sense of innovation, and get practical contribution in a specific area of the discipline;

4. Be able to communicate in Chinese, read Chinese and English literature of your major fluently, have good skills in writing and international academic communicating;

5. Have good engineering practice ability, professional ethics and social responsibility.

三、培養(yǎng)方式及學(xué)習(xí)年限 Training Mode and Study Duration

全日制國際碩士生采用全日制學(xué)習(xí)、導(dǎo)師負(fù)責(zé)制培養(yǎng)模式。

學(xué)制為二年半。未能按時完成學(xué)業(yè)者，經(jīng)申請批準(zhǔn)后其學(xué)習(xí)年限可適當(dāng)延長，最長可以延期至三年半。

Full-time International Academic Master Program students tutored full-time by supervisors. 

The length of Full-time Professional Master Program is 2.5 years. Students who fail to complete the program within 2.5 years could apply for extension, with a maximum length of 3.5 years upon approval.

四、課程學(xué)習(xí)要求 Course Requirement

全日制國際碩士生，課程總學(xué)分≥23學(xué)分，其中：選擇GPA統(tǒng)計源的課程≥16學(xué)分，GPA≥2.7方可以進(jìn)行論文答辯。
        Full-time International Academic Master Program. Minimum credits: 23 credits, including at least 16 credits from GPA courses. Students whose GPA of the GPA courses is above 2.7 are eligible for thesis defense.

          General Courses. 9.5 credits.

        a. CHN6207漢語，4學(xué)分，必修，符合條件可免修
            CHN6207 Chinese Language, required. Exemption can be applied for qualified students.

        b. CHN0916中國文化概論，2學(xué)分，必修
            CHN0916 Introduction to Chinese Culture, 2 credits, compulsory.

        c. FL6001學(xué)術(shù)英語，2學(xué)分，必修
            FL6001 English for Academic Purposes, 2 credits, compulsory.

        d. GE6001學(xué)術(shù)寫作、規(guī)范與倫理，1學(xué)分，必修，院系開課
            GE6001 Academic Writing, Norms and Ethics, 1 credit, compulsory, offered by ME.

        e. GE6003 實驗室安全教育，0.5學(xué)分，必修，院系開課

            GE6003 Laboratory Safety Education，0.5 credit, compulsory, offered by ME school.

    2.專業(yè)前沿課：GE6011 學(xué)術(shù)報告會，1學(xué)分，必修
            Frontier Course.
            GE6011 Academic Seminar, 1 credit, compulsory.

    3.專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)課：

      2門數(shù)學(xué)課：IE6101高等運籌學(xué)、IE6102高等統(tǒng)計學(xué)，6學(xué)分，必修

           Core Courses.     

          2 math courses: IE6101 Advanced Operations Research、IE6102 Advanced Statistics, 6 credit, compulsory

  五、培養(yǎng)過程要求 Training Requirement

開題報告：在第三學(xué)期起開題。開題報告要求就學(xué)位論文選題的科學(xué)根據(jù)、目的意義、研究內(nèi)容、預(yù)期目標(biāo)、研究方法和課題條件等做出論證，并由導(dǎo)師組織3～5位教授加以審核。

Thesis proposal: Thesis proposal work will start in the 3^th semester, which requires an argument on the scientific basis, purpose and significance, research content, expected goals, research methods, and project conditions of intended thesis topic and shall be evaluated by 3 or 5 professors invited by supervisor.

年度報告（論文中期考核）：在開題報告完成后，第四學(xué)期。由碩士生本人提交、導(dǎo)師給出評語、學(xué)科、學(xué)院審核。年度報告的形式也可以結(jié)合學(xué)術(shù)討論會或?qū)ｎ}研究報告會進(jìn)行。年度報告的內(nèi)容含：1、已完成的論文工作、階段性成果。2、下一步工作內(nèi)容、擬發(fā)表論文計劃等。3、導(dǎo)師對已有工作的評價、以后工作的估計和指導(dǎo)。

Annual report (Thesis Project Intermediate Evaluation): The evaluation usually takes place in the 4^th semester after thesis proposal gets passed. The report shall be submitted by students with supervisor’s given comments, which will go through the evaluation of each department and school as well. The format of the annual report can also be done in the form of academic discussion or symposium on selected topics. The contents of the annual report include: 1. Completed thesis-related work and periodic results. 2. The content of the next-phase work and plans on paper publications. 3. Supervisor's evaluation of the finished work, estimation and guidance of the future work.

論文答辯：在第五學(xué)期結(jié)束前后完成。論文答辯由一級學(xué)科統(tǒng)一組織，各一級學(xué)科推舉后15%的同學(xué)到學(xué)院層面上進(jìn)行二次答辯。

Thesis Defense: The defense shall be held before the end of 5^th semester by the discipline. Those who ranks in the last 15% shall attend the second defense organized by school.

 七、學(xué)位論文 Thesis/dissertation

1、學(xué)位論文的基本要求Basic Requirements

碩士學(xué)位論文，要求對所研究的課題有新見解或新成果，并對本學(xué)科發(fā)展或經(jīng)濟(jì)建設(shè)、社會進(jìn)步有一定意義，表明作者掌握堅實的基礎(chǔ)理論和系統(tǒng)的學(xué)科知識，具有從事學(xué)術(shù)研究或擔(dān)負(fù)專門技術(shù)工作的能力。

The master students should choose topics related to the frontier field of the discipline or that of great significance to the progress of science and technology or economic and social development as their dissertation theme. The doctoral dissertation should demonstrate that the author is capable of undertaking scientific research independently and has a good grasp of the basic theories as well as a systematic and in-depth knowledge of the field of study.

學(xué)位論文必須是一篇系統(tǒng)的、完整的學(xué)術(shù)論文，是學(xué)位申請者本人在導(dǎo)師的指導(dǎo)下獨立完成的研究成果，論文不得抄襲和剽竊他人成果。學(xué)位論文的學(xué)術(shù)觀點必須明確，且立論正確，推理嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，數(shù)據(jù)可靠，層次分明，文字通暢。

A graduate dissertation shall be a systematic and complete academic paper, and should be completed by the applicant under the instruction of his/her supervisor. No cheating or plagiarizing is allowed. The graduate theses shall demonstrate clear academic insights, with accurate arguments, rigorous reasonings, reliable statistics, well-organized structures and fluent expressions.

2、學(xué)位論文的撰寫要求Format for Thesis

學(xué)位論文應(yīng)使用中文或英文撰寫，碩士學(xué)位論文字?jǐn)?shù)一般為4～5萬。學(xué)位論文中使用的術(shù)語、符號、代號必須全文統(tǒng)一并符合規(guī)范化要求。計量單位一律采用國務(wù)院發(fā)布的《中華人民共和國法定計量單位》。學(xué)位論文一般包括以下12部分，依次為封面、題名頁、扉頁、摘要、目錄、符號說明（非必須）、正文、參考文獻(xiàn)、注釋（非必須）、附錄（非必須）、致謝、學(xué)術(shù)論文和科研成果目錄。

        The thesis should be written in Chinese. The terms, symbols and codes used in the dissertation must be unified and conform to the requirements of standardization. All units of measurement shall adopt the "Statutory Unit of the People's Republic of China" promulgated by the State Council. The dissertation generally consists of the following 12 parts: cover, title page, flyleaf, abstracts, contents, List of Symbols (if necessary), main body, reference, annotation (if necessary), appendix (if necessary), acknowledgements, List of Publications and achievements.
